Last Days of November
This winter, I'm going to Britain, to celebrate Christmas with my boyfriend and his family. Almost all presents are bought, but unfortunately not a single one is wrapped. I don't want to risk them burning my luggage for having suspicious wrapped presents in my bag at the airport. The only thing I've wrapped is a Countdown Calendar I made to Connor. 25 individual little gifts that he will open day by day until Christmas.
I feel like I have lots to do before I leave. I need to rewrite my packing list, get presents for my best friends, bake lots, be a comfort host at a Congress meeting, dye my hair, go to the bank get new contraceptive, call a doctor about my toe and gah, I just feel like nothing is planned properly. I just end up being lazy and sleep for 12 hours. At least I'm somewhat doing something important. At the moment I am modding a friend's Rust server, which I've learnt so much from. As well as I've looked into applying for loads of jobs, and getting a driver's licence, in February when I come home. Also study some kind of software engineering or coding, online. But now I just want December to come with snow, hot chocolate and mulled wine. This was one of the first days I actually didn't worry about my future. Today I felt some of that winter coming closer, darkness, snow and an open fire. I love it, it makes me feel safe and calm. Hopefully the rumour about 8°C next week is a lie.
